Simon LeBon was to play live with Mark Ronson and the Kaiser Chiefs at Brixton Academy for Care.
Proceeds from the show went to Care international – one of the largest international relief and humanitarian organizations
in the world. Simon sang an interesting rendition of Planet Earth with Mark Ronson and the Kaiser Chiefs.

Mark Ronson says: "I think it's their best record - I don't mean to offend anybody - but their best in maybe
20 years. We've just been recording in the studio and we've got about 14 great songs and I'm really excited about it," he explained.
The producer reckons Le Bon and co will preview new material at their shows at Lovebox festival and Edinburgh Castle in July and failing
an album release this year, he thinks they’ll put out a single at least.

The band are currently in the studio with Mark Ronson, who invited Kaiser Chief´s Nick Hodgson in
to work with Le Bon and co. Hodgson worked with the band for five or six hours, and they wrote three songs together: One is
quite rocky, one is more Italo disco, he says. Two of them I would definitely say are making the record... Ronson will
work on the record until the end of this week.
Band is recording the new music with sound engineer Andrew Newton. Newton is also credited for recording Falling
Down and engineering the Red Carpet Massacre World Tour and the Songbook tv programme. With the help of Newton the band
will record the new album in surround 5.1.

Mark Ronson has started work on the new Duran Duran record, and tells: It’s their
best material in 15 years and I’m such a fan that I know what a Duran Duran fan
would want to hear. Ronson went into the studio with the band on Wednesday (March 18)
and says it’s already going so well that he hopes to do the full album.

Lovebox Weekender festival,
set to take place at Victoria Park in London on July 18 and 19. The festival will mark Duran Duran's only festival appearance
of 2009, organisers have said, with the band set to play a headline slot on the Saturday night (July 18) after N.E.R.D.
Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon said in a statement: "We are thrilled to be headlining Saturday night at Lovebox for what
